Lauren Mann and Her Man, Zoltan Band Promo

22 Nov

A few years ago my brother and I, and a few of our best friends decided we wanted to start a band. So, we did.

(Our Band)

I learned to play bass for the sole purpose of playing in the band, and have touched a bass maybe three times since. Photography is the one thing that has stuck with me over the years.

Anyway, the band did really well. We cut an EP and an album, and played a few tours. Got to see different small towns and big cities across Ontario, and even went as far as Quebec.

A huge reason why we got to do what we did is because of our good friend Zoltan, who is a go getter, and street wise urban survivor… I just made that term up.

You know how some people can be thrown into the woods and left with no food, and they can survive and get on fine. I think if you were to drop Zoltan off in the middle of a City with absolutely nothing, he’d probably have an apartment, a job, and a bunch of friends within 48 hours. He’d be manager of the job within two weeks.

Zoltan got married this year to his friend Lauren Mann, who is a very talented musician. We had the honour of attending their CD release a couple weeks ago, and it was a lot of fun. We created these images a few days following.

You should check out the Christmas EP she’s just released. You can download the songs for free from her Facebook page, or you can purchase them through iTunes (available Nov 23rd) if you want to offer some financial support to a Canadian Artist who will very much appreciate your support.

You may want to also check out Lauren’s Myspace Page, if you haven’t yet.

Thanks for checking it out!

All the best!

– Cole

I just met these wonderful people last night & bought two of their CDs… When they said they were from Orilla, I kind of wondered if we might have mutual friends!
