Polaroid Portraits!

18 Jan

If you are planning to get married soon, or know of someone planning to get married, here is a cool idea for a guest book!

Polaroids have been around for a long time, and for some people who grew up with them they’re a thing of the past. But for many in my generation there is something unique about Polaroids. I think it has something to do with the fact that, sure they can be copied, but they can’t be reproduced. What I’m trying to say is, there’s only one of ’em.

I’ve wanted to do Polaroid Portraits for a while now. I was excited to help out when Luke and Karlie told me they wanted to make the guest book for their wedding out of traditional Polaroid photographs. Lydia found the cameras on Kijiji. Two Polaroid Land camera’s (first manufactured in the 1960’s). We bought a 220 and a 230 model. Found batteries online no problem, and it turns out my Lumopro 160’s will sync to the old cameras! Fuji makes a peel apart film that works with the old Polaroids.
